Four Types of Labor Support

Labor support. What does that really mean?

Well to understand all the ways I help during labor we can look at the four types of support that I utilize to help you during labor.

Advocacy

Emotional Support

Physical Support

Informational Support

Here are just a few examples of what continuous labor support can look like:

Supporting your right to make choices about your body and creating a space for you and your partner to make those decisions, advocacy.

Helping you breathe through a contraction reminding you how you are rocking your labor with the affirmations we learned together, emotional support.

Holding a hip compression and swaying with you during a contraction, physical support.

Talking about all your options during labor and providing you with the information and resources you need to feel informed in your decision making, informational support.
