*All prenatal visits are conducted in a Victorian style prenatal room. I do not use an examination table, but instead a comfortable bed with handmade Amish quilts.
*All prenatals are done 'in office' as I do not travel for prenatal visits.
*Prenatals are scheduled as follows: monthly until 28 weeks, every two weeks until 36 weeks; weekly until due date; bi-weekly after due date.

*Birth supplies (you do not need to buy a birth kit)
*Waterbirth information
*We provide birth tub, tub liner, hoses, and drain pump
*We set up and take down the birth tub
*Herbal advice throughout pregnancy
*Homebirths are attended by midwife & one or two assistants
*We clean-up after birth
*Newborn physical
*Newborn weight & measurements
*Newborn vitamin K shot and/or eye ointment (with parental consent)
*Postpartum visits, done at your home, on day 1 & day 3 (approximately)
*Postpartum office visits at 2 weeks and 4 weeks (optional)
*Hands on lactation education and breastfeeding advice as needed
*Referral to breastfeeding clinic if necessary
*Assistance in filing birth certificate

The following items are extra cost/not covered by global midwifery fee:
1) Mercury free Rhogam is available by prescription for Rh negative women. The 28 week prenatal shot is $195.00. The postpartum shot is $195.00.
2) Antibiotics (intravenous) by prescription if you are GBS+ (cost is $100.00)
